Armilda “Amy” “Midge” Stepp Cole, 66, of Corbin passed away Monday, October 8, 2018. A kind lady called “Amy” by some and “Midge” by others, she thoroughly enjoyed helping people and demonstrated her thoughtfulness by taking them to doctor appointments and to the grocery store. She had a keen interest in crafts, gardening, bird houses, and chimes. She also served her country in the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Jane Mason; father, Golden Stepp; three brothers: Adrian Stepp, Claude Stepp, and Robert Stepp; and an infant sister. Jerry Ray Horn, 75, the husband of Linda Rawlings Horn of Radcliff, passed away on Sunday at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY. The family has requested that all services be private. Burial followed in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London. Laurel Funeral Home was honored to be of service to the Horn Family.

Wesley Eagle, 36, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Baptist Health Corbin. He is survived by his parents Breckey and Connie Hughes Eagle Funeral service was held Saturday, October 6, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Brafford Cemetery.

Raleigh “David” Bennett, 57, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Fogus Bennett. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bennett Cemetery in Whitley County.

Verenda Sharp, 77, of Ellison Bend Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was born on September 6, 1941 in Williamsburg to the late Steve Lawson and Cecile Lawson. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Nora Lawson and three brothers, Steven Lawson Jr., Arvil Lawson and Noble Lawson. Verenda was a lifetime member of Mt. Ash Baptist Church and dedicated her time working in the many hats of the church. Raymond Malicoat, 74, of the Wolf Creek Community of Whitley County, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Baptist Health of Corbin. He was born on June 20, 1944 to the late Larkin Thomas Malicoat and Sally (Sawyers) Malicoat in Clairfield, TN. He was the grandson of the late George Malicoat and Timpie (Cox) Malicoat and the late Jim Sawyers and Mary (Huddleston) Sawyers. He was a member of Power Pack Ministries in Wolf Creek, KY.
