Whether its fireworks, live music or a parade, this year’s Independence Day celebrations in Whitley County and the surrounding area will offer a little something for everyone.
Corbin festivities
The Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission and The Corbin Arena will proudly present an “Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular,” on Thursday, July 3, at The Corbin Arena, which is located at 500 Arena Drive.
Pre-fireworks festivities will kick off at 7 p.m. with delicious food trucks and inflatable fun for kids. There will be live music starting at 7 p.m. with the Pistol Whip band.
Starting at 9 p.m. the Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission will hand out free 3D firework goggles.

This year’s lone Cumberland River Cruise-In saw several dozen classic and fancy vehicles take over downtown Williamsburg on Saturday. The vehicles were lined around the perimeter of the old Whitley County Courthouse while vendors were set up in the yard. Williamsburg Main Street Program opted to move to only one cruise-in this year instead of doing it monthly throughout the summer in an attempt to drive up engagement.
