Charles Blankenship, Sr., 82 of Newcomb, TN passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Huntsville Manor Nursing Home.
He was born July 1, 1935 in Newcomb, TN.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Douglas Blankenship; sons, Charles Blankenship, Jr. and Dave Blankenship; parents, Charles and Tennie Morgan Blankenship.
He is survived by a son, Bill Blankenship; daughter, Sharon Drees; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; a sister, Freeda Douglas; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 11, at Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Cox officiating.
Burial was in the Douglas Cemetery in the Wooldridge Community.
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.
