Clifford West, 77, of Highway 92 East, Williamsburg, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was born on November 2, 1939 in McCreary County, to the late William Calvin West and Temple (Waters) West.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde West; a sister, Myrtle Waters and his father and mother-in-law, Henry and Bernice Gray.
Clifford was a Deacon at Concord Community Church for 22 years and a Mason at Grove Lodge #824 for 42 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Louvenia Joyce “Joy” West of Williamsburg; three children, Eddie Daryl West (Teresa) of Williamsburg, Kevin Dale West (Mildred) of Nicholasville, and Rev. Bryan Elbert West (Kathy) of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Adam Abner (Ashley), Christopher Collett (Samantha), Nicholas Collett (Katie), Scotty West, Clifford Austin West, Travis West (Jessica) and Latisha Bryant (Morgan); great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Alexis, Cameron, Carter, Logan, Katyln, Brantley, Maddison, Natalie and Wyatt; brothers, Earl West, Clinton West (Bonnie), Denny West (Mary) and Roy West (Linda) all of Williamsburg; sisters, Hettie Siler of Williamsburg, Louella Shelley (Chester) of Hazel Park, MI and Thelma McWilliams of Williamsburg; and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, March 7, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bryan West and Rev. Mark Muse officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Concord Church Cemetery. His grandsons served as pallbearers.
