Corbin debuting Mardi Gras on Main March 4 and Shamrock Spirit Shuffle on March 15

Date:

The 2025 Corbin event calendar is here, and it looks to have a little bit of something for everyone.

Corbin Tourism Director Nancy Conley shared a working list of events with the News Journal late last week that she said have been scheduled by tourism and the Downtown Corbin Program. Of the events on that list, most are returning events that locals have come to love, such as Colonel Fest, Christmas Open House and the Christmas parade, the Cumberland Valley Cruise-Ins, Trick or Treat on Main and the monthly city yard sales.

Among the favorites, though, is a pair of new events for area residents to partake in, both of which help kick-off this year’s schedule.

The first of those two is Mardi Gras on Main, which takes place March 4 in downtown Corbin.

The second is the Shamrock Spirit Shuffle, scheduled for March 15.

Those events will be followed up with Restaurant Week, starting March 24 and running through March 30. According to Conley, this will be a week-long dining event meant to entice residents to patronize the city’s local eateries and “experience why Corbin is one of the top food destinations in the commonwealth.” Each participating restaurant will offer their own signature item during the event period. Some of the other events announced in the schedule and their dates are as follows:

Colonel Fest – April 25 and 26 on Main Street, with the Colonel Fest 10K Race also taking place on April 26

Whitley County Farmer’s Market Kick-Off – April 29

Cumberland Valley Cruise-In (first of the year) – May 10

Burger Week – June 9 – 15

Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular – July 3 at The Corbin Arena

Trick or Treat on Main – Oct. 31 on Main Street

Corbin Christmas Parade – Dec. 6 on Main Street

Conley noted that other events, such as those organized through the Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and other entities, have still yet to be set.
