Corbin Police arrest five people on drug trafficking charges

 Corbin police arrested five people on drug trafficking charges Thursday.

Police served the warrants on: Larry Alsip, 48, Diana Alsip, 41, Timmy Bryant, 35, Wallace Cox 54, and Jerry Inman, 18, all of Corbin.

According to Major Rob Jones, the department’s public affairs officer, the warrants were secured after the individuals sold various drugs to confidential informants. The drugs included marijuana and various prescription pills.

“The sales took place over the last two months,” Jones said.

Lt. Glenn Taylor along with Jones and Capt. Coy Wilson found the suspects at their residences or places of employment Thursday afternoon and took them into custody without incident.

Diana Alsip is charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Larry Alsip is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance

Bryant is charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance

Cox is charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Inman is charged with trafficking in marijuana.

They were each lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
