Special ceremony: The Corbin Public Library’s annex addition has been in use for the past few years, but over the weekend it finally received an official dedication when library board members, Friends of the Corbin Public Library, library staff and supporters gathered to unveil a plaque on the outside of the building.

The plaque, pictured here, recognizes those who were directly involved in making the CPL annex a reality. Also pictured are current library board chair Emily Lewallen, treasurer Chris Campbell, Rob Miller and board member Terry Newquist with the plaque.

During a brief presentation before the unveiling of the plaque Saturday morning, Campbell recognized the contributions of those who have sadly passed on before the official annex dedication ceremony could take place. Those names included Frankie Sasser, Anne Hoskins and Diane Mitchell. “Their contributions will stand the test of time, and will be embodied in this annex,” he said.
