Courthouse getting new display honoring local war hero

A new display honoring a Williamsburg native and war hero is expected to be added to the halls of the Whitley County Courthouse in the near future.

Greg Sims, commandant of the JC Paul Detachment Marine Corps League in Williamsburg, holds up a copy of Joe Calvin Paul’s Medal of Honor, which will be part of a planned display at the Whitley County Courthouse honoring the United States Marine Corps lance corporal, who died in 1965 while fighting in the Vietnam War.
