Coy Daniel Lynn Howard, 38, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed gently away on May 31, 2025 at the Baptist Health in Corbin, KY.
Born on November 6, 1986, in Jellico, Tennessee, Coy was a loving son, father, brother, and uncle, whose adventurous spirit and zest for life touched the hearts of all who knew him. In his 38 years, Coy lived a full life, filled with cherished moments and memorable experiences. Coy was a member of the House of Refuge Church of Rockholds, KY, where his faith and commitment to community were evident to all.
He was an avid University of Kentucky fan, taking great joy in cheering on his team at every opportunity. A man of many hobbies, Coy could often be found playing basketball, fishing, or strumming a tune on his guitar. His love for his family was unparalleled, and the time he spent with them was precious and cherished, a testament to his loving nature.
Coy is survived by his loving daughter, Isabella Howard of Somerset, KY; his loving parents, Ernie and Delvena Rains of Somerset, KY; his caring siblings, Joshua Howard and wife Karen of Church Hill, TN. and Casandra Howard of Florida; and his cherished nephews, Kaden Howard, River Howard, and Atlas Howard. He also leaves behind his special friends, Jesse Hembree, Julia Hembree, Estes Rhodes, Larry Baird, Todd Williams; and special cousins, Mark Lawson and Eli Rhodes; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Coy was preceded in death by his brother, Dustin Howard; uncles, Timothy and Sherman Lawson; aunt Elizabeth Lawson; and grandparents, Estes and Ruth Lawson, Joyce Howard, and Earl Osborne.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, at 5:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home, 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mark Lawson and Rev. Doug Lawson officiating.
The burial service to follow at 2:00 am. at the Lawson Cemetery on Seng Branch on Highway 92 East in Williamsburg, KY.
