Cumberland Valley Cruise-In set for Saturday

Date:

The Cumberland Valley Cruise-In will host its third event for the summer from 4 to 8 p.m. on July 14, on Main Street in Corbin.

Cumberland Valley Cruise-In was founded in 2001. Over the course of the summer it hosts five events. July 14 will be the second event held on Main Street in Corbin.

Maggy Kriebel, Corbin tourism director, stated that the event is expected to encompass Main Street from 4th Street to Gordon Hill.

Kriebel said the event averages about 200 cars.

“It brings the community together,” said Kriebel. “It is a fun, family friendly event.”

Vendors will be set up, but only ice cream will be served.

Kriebel encouraged individuals to patronize downtown restaurants and businesses.

To participate in the event, individuals should just bring their vehicles, Kriebel explained. Once on site, event staff will help park the cars and get individuals registered.

The event is free to attend.
