David Wright, 66, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 19, at his home.
David is preceded in death by his parents Regina Zecchini Wright and Courtland Wright.
Dave was an avid hiker, known for his larger than life spirit and unending love of the outdoors. He was a craftsman and enjoyed woodworking. He found solace on his tractor. He touched many lives in his educational career. He will be fondly remembered for his unique sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Theona Lauren Wright, son, D.B. (little Dave) Wright, stepsons, Alan Christopher Notgrass and Austin Cary Notgrass, grandchildren, E.B. Wright, Lorelia Wright, Cole Notgrass, Nicholas Notgrass and Nathan Notgrass, sister, Helen Cummins, nephews, Mark Cummins and Michael Cummins, niece, Maria Cummins. many cousins and one special cousin Emily Copenhaver.
The funeral service was held Saturday, July 22, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, TN with the Rev. Frances Dople Jr. officiating.
Interment was held Sunday, July 23, in the Jellico Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were D.B Wright, Larry Boles, Wilbur Deuel, Raymond Surber, Cole Notgrass, Gary Douglas and Roger Douglas.
