Deputy arrests man for drug possession

A Williamsburg man is free on bond after a Whitley County Sheriff’s deputy arrested him on April 11 on a drug possession charge.

Deputy Chad Foley arrested Kim V. Carr, 47, at 151 Carr Road, and charged him with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot) and resisting arrest.

He was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center and released April 15 on a $7,500 cash bond, according to the detention center’s website.

Sgt. Jonas Saunders assisted with the investigation.

Carr is due back in Whitley District Court on April 22.
