Donnie Cleveland Rains, age 40, of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on April 22, 2023 in Stanford, Kentucky.
Donnie was born on September 1, 1982 in Barbourville, Kentucky to Donnie Rains and Elfreda (Faulkner) Rains.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Illa Rains, John and Cleda Faulkner, Whitey Richardson, and T.J. Powers; uncle, Skeeter Rains; and cousin, Luke Faulkner.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal Rains of Williamsburg, Kentucky; children, Morgan Rains (Jason Bray) and Amber Rains (Peyton Hamilton), both of Williamsburg, Kentucky; parents, Moose Rains and Freda Rains of Williamsburg, Kentucky; sisters, Hollie Maurer (Maik) and Breezy Meadors (Joey), both of Williamsburg, Kentucky; mother-in-law, Teresa Powers (Rev. Ronnie Rose) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; father-in-law, Billy Richardson (Tammy) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Stephanie Pettit (Daniel) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; brothers-in-law, Josh Disney (Kristin) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Adam Disney (Allison Marlow) of Florence, Kentucky, Joe Christie (Susie) of Fayetteville, Ohio, and Anthony Christie (Leanna) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; nieces and nephews, Maikie Maurer (Alexis), Haylee Maurer, Jake Maurer, Simbree Meadors, Maverick Meadors, Walker Pettit, Bryson Meadors, Max Disney, McKayla Christie, Austin Christie, and Harper Christie; great niece and nephew, Nolan Maurer and Hermione Maurer; special cousins, Brandon and Travis Rains of Williamsburg, Kentucky; host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, April 26, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 27, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Wells officiating.
He will be laid to rest in Moose Mountain Cemetery on Moose Mtn. in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Travis Rains, Tim Rains, Ben Powers, Jason Bray, Brandon Rains, Daniel Pettit, Maik Maurer, and Owen Rains will serve as pallbearers. Adam Disney, Josh Disney, Joe Christie, Anthony Christie, Joey Meadors, Peyton Hamilton, Derek Fuson, and Jesse Lawson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
