Doris (Woods) Dunson, age 78, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of the White Oak Community of Campbell County, Tennessee, and Sydney, Ohio, passed away August 8, 2022, in Ocala.
She was born on March 15, 1944, to the late Raymond and Mary Woods in White Oak.
She was the granddaughter of the late Charlotte Woods and the late General and Lettia Marlow.
Doris was a graduate of Sydney High School in Sydney, OH. She retired from Walmart.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Dunson.
She is survived by four children, Shelly Dangler, John Dunson, Angela Dunson-Thomas, and Kevin Dunson; eight grandchildren, Tammy Soffe, Melanie Fuller, Shane Johnson, Collin Dangler, Heather Dunson, Hollie Thomas, Violet Thomas, and Lillie Thomas; several great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Cooper; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends, neighbors, and other relatives to mourn her passing.
The family will receive friends for a combined visitation for the Dunson Family on Saturday, March 18, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorial services will immediately follow on Saturday afternoon, March 18, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shane Simpson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Chadwell Cemetery located in the Little White Oak Community of Campbell County.
Cox & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
