Doyle Carr

Doyle Carr, of Corbin, KY, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Baptist Health Corbin.
He was born August 3, 1952 in Whitley County, KY, to the late Edd and Opal Brown Carr. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Carr; and one sister, Carol Sears.
He is survived by three children, Deborah Rutherford (Hiram) of Corbin, KY, Doyle Carr, Jr. of Corbin, KY, and Barbara Tye (Shannon) of Corbin, KY; eight grandchildren, Devin Rutherford, Austin Jones, Dana Shupe, Aaliyah Tye, Dylan Rutherford, Kameron Tye, Dalston Rutherford, and Zuri Peace; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Faye Logan (Jimmy) of Rockholds, KY; brothers, Harold Carr of Rockholds, KY, Charles Carr of Corbin, KY, and Donnie Carr (Frances) of Rockholds, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Logan officiating.
Interment will be in Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Devin Rutherford, Austin Jones, Kameron Tye, Dylan Rutherford, Shannon Tye, and Hiram Rutherford. Dalston Rutherford will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
