Everett Bishop, 72 of Beattyville, ormerly of Williamsburg, passed away Sunday September 4, 2016 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
He was born on February 3, 1944 in Whitley Co., to the late Samuel Harley Bishop and the late Goldie Rader Bishop.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Janet Mahan Bishop.
He is survived by a daughter Leslie Benson (Brian) of Beattyville; two sons Everett Dewayne Bishop of Burlington, NC, Rodney Bishop (Martha) of Beattyville; five grandchildren Maggie, Clara, John, Kaliegh and Cayden, two sisters Pearl Miles and Shirley Jackson, a brother Benjamin Bishop, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday September 7, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating.
Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Goins Cemetery on Harps Creek.
Visitation will from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday September 7, at the funeral home.
