With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ezra McKinley Lanham, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to all whose lives he touched.
Ezra was born on September 22, 1955, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, and left us on January 21, 2025. He resided in Corbin, Kentucky, and was a proud retiree.
Ezra was a man of many passions. Above all, he cherished his family and friends, always placing their needs above his own. He was also an ardent lover of the great outdoors, often finding solace and peace in nature’s embrace. His life was marked by his unwavering commitment to those he loved and his readiness to lend a helping hand. Ezra brought joy, happiness, and laughter to those around him, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Ezra is survived by his wife of over 41 years, Shirley Lanham; his children, Trish, Megan, Jimmy, David, and Brandon; his grandchildren, Brent, Sarah, Brooklyn, Ariahnna, Florence, Alyssa, Abigail, EllaRose, Luke, Wesley, and Viola; his great-grandchildren, Boone, Gunner, Desmond, and Mamie; and his siblings, Howard, Ro, Teresa, Lanora, Doreen, Maggie, and Amanda.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Argene Lanham.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, January 24, at the Croley Funeral Home located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 25, at the same location.
Interment will follow at Ulas Rose Family Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky at 1:00 PM.
The services will be officiated by Reverend Harold Lawson and Reverend Paul Rhodes.
