Coach Patrick Robinson’s Williamsburg Yellow Jackets jumped out to an early lead against the Blue Devils in Jellico, TN Friday night, but they gave up that lead in the third quarter. The team battled back, however, and eventually prevailed, winning by a score of 66-52. With the victory, the Jackets improve to 3-3.

Meanwhile, back in Williamsburg, the Lady Jackets picked up their first win of the season, defeating Jackson County 39-34.

In other girls basketball action, the Corbin Lady Redhounds defeated Powell County by a score of 68-58 in round one of the Berea Holiday Classic. The Whitley County Lady Colonels are also competing in the Berea Classic. They completely dominated South Floyd in their round one matchup en route to a 69-14 victory.

Earlier today, the Whitley County boys were defeated 67-52 on day one of the Arby’s KFC Holiday Classic at McCreary Central High School.

Two Thursday scores to report – Whitley County dominated visiting Lynn Camp 79-41, and Corbin was defeated 70-50 by Beech (TN) in the Smokey Mountain Classic in Gatlinburg.
