Governor appoints Corbin woman to state commission

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear recently appointed a Corbin woman to a state commission.

Beshear appointed Venus Evans, who is an activist, to represent the public at large as a member of the Native American Heritage Commission.

She will serve a term expiring on Sept. 1, 2028.

Beshear also recently reappointed Michael Adams of Lexington to the Kentucky State University Board of Regents. Adams, who is a commercial banking officer at Forcht Bank, will serve a term expiring on June 30, 2030.
