Henry “Silo” Roland Ivey, age 73, of Jellico, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Turkey Creek Medical Center. He was born June 21, 1948 in Jellico, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Hardy Ivey; mother, Macy Bowlin Ivey O’Brien; step-father, Samuel John O’Brien Sr; siblings, Jay and Kay Ivey, Bobby Ivey, James O’Brien, Sammy O’Brien, Emmaline Ramsey and husband Frank, Rosie Bowlin, and Alice Walden; brothers-in-law, Emil Walden, Doug Walden, Albert Fuston, Minton Davis and Jerry Downs.
He is survived by brothers, Jesse O’Brien and wife Melissa, Michael O’Brien and wife Lynn and Billy O’Brien; sisters, Vivan Fuston, Margaret Downs, Joie Hudson and Althea “Alfie” Walden; step-brothers, Jim O’Brien and wife Dora and Paul O’Brien and wife Glenda; grandchildren, Lisa and Brian Collester; brother-in-law Johnny Smith; sister-in-law Teresa O’Brien; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 28, at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Walden officiating. Burial followed in the Douglas Cemetery (Wooldridge Community) Jellico, Tennessee.
