High School Football Results – 11/3/17

Round one of the 2017 high school football postseason is complete, and all coverage area teams are moving on.

The Corbin Redhounds improved to 10-1 on the season Friday night with a dominating performance over visiting Knott County Central, 57-6. The Hounds will play Bell County next week in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs.

In 5A action, the Whitley County Colonels were able to improve their season record to 7-4 with a 34-21 win over visiting South Laurel. The Colonels will face the Southwestern Warriors next week.

And in the 1A bracket, the Lynn Camp Wildcats have advanced to round two with a 32-26 win over visiting Phelps Friday night. The Cats, now 8-3, will play against Hazard next week.

As for the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets (7-3), they had the week off, but they will be back in action next Friday night, November 10, when they host the Pikeville Panthers, who defeated Harlan in their round one game, 47-14.
