Investigation underway after human remains discovered in Gray

Date:

Kentucky State Police are investigating after human remains were found in Gray Monday night.

Master Trooper Shane Jacobs, the department’s Public Affairs Officer, said state police were dispatched to Garland Cemetery Road off of Arkle Road at 6:16 p.m.

A 15-year-old juvenile had been riding his ATV in a wooded area when he discovered the remains.

The remains will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

“At this time no identification and cause of death can be made due to the state of the body,” Jacobs stated.

Detective Jake Wilson is continuing the investigation.
