Jay C. Johnson, Jr., 68, of Corbin passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Baptist Health Corbin.

He was born March 27, 1948, in Richlands, VA.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jay and Lola Johnson, and two sisters: Carol Sue Johnson and Shirley Ann James.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 21 years, Lawannia Yonce Johnson; son, Jeremy Johnson; two step-daughters, Sonja Scalf (James) and Brandi Wyatt (Kendel Taylor); several grandchildren; four brothers: Donnie, Danny, Jimmy, and Bobby; three sisters: Nanci, Sandy, and Betty; and a special aunt: Norma Jean Williams, and other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 6, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Delmon Sizemore officiating.

Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery with pallbearers Jeremy Johnson, Danny Johnson, Cody McQueen, James Scalf, Kendel Taylor, Corey Steele, and Lawannia Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are W.L. Campbell, Jacob Scalf, Ronald Dye, and Freddie Jones.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home.
