Jerry Robert Evans, of Virginia Beach, VA formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

He was born September 25, 1942 to the late Arnold and Martha Evans.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; Wayne, Harold and Glenn Evans.

He was a member of the Operating Engineers and worked on many projects. As a United States Marine, he was deployed to Vietnam and later served as a marksmanship instructor at Quantico.

He is survived by two daughters: Amber and Amy, his wonderful grandchildren, sister; Cleta Ruth Broyles (Bill), several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 5, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating.

Interment was held at the Highland Cemetery.

American Legion Post 88 of Corbin, conducted the military graveside rights.
