Kenneth Ray Strickland Sr., 77, of Donahue Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at his home.
He was born on October 29, 1940 in Harlan County, to the late Herschel Leon Strickland Sr. and Vena (Sutton) Strickland.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Freddy; a sister, Lesa and his nephew, Joe Hamilton.
Kenneth loved to bowl, go fishing and hunting and visit the Smokey Mountains.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sally Strickland of Williamsburg; two children, Paula Strickland of Williamsburg and Kenneth Ray Strickland Jr. of Vista, CA; four step-children, Stephanie Strickland of Woodbine, Larry Strickland II (Vanessa) of Corbin, Michael Strickland (Sheryl) of Williamsburg and Christopher Strickland (Shara) of Williamsburg; 20 grandchildren; great granddaughter; four brothers, Paul Strickland (Ginger), Jimmy Strickland, Herschel Strickland Jr. (Karen Sue) and Larry Strickland all of Williamsburg; two sisters, Wanda Jordan of Corbin and Phyllis Hamilton of Williamsburg; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday, August 10, at Croley Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating.
