Joanna Ruth Hill Sizemore, 84, of Williamsburg, departed this life on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
She was born on October 27, 1932 in Union Station, Virginia to the late Wesley Hill and Kate Brooks Hill.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Letcher Sizemore; a son, Estle Lawson; brother, Jimmy Hill and two sisters, Helen Smith and Axie Mae Watkins.
She is survived by her children, Lavona Lancaster (Paul) of Salt Lake City, UT, Sharon Brock (Glen) of Taylorsville, Darence Lawson of Williamsburg and Ena Mays (Dwight) of Williamsburg; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Hill of Williamsburg; daughter-in-law, Vickie Lawson of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating.
