John R. Halcomb, 78, of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday June 28, 2018 at Jellico Community Hospital.
He was born February 26, 2018 in Lynch, to the late Dewey and Mattie Shepherd Halcomb.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Merril Halcomb, two sisters; Travis Wilder and Betty Cook.
He is survived by his wife Angeline Halcomb of Williamsburg; two children; Jennifer Roll (Gary) of Hazard, John Halcomb Jr. (Sherry) of Corbin; three grandchildren; Jacob Roll, Seth Halcomb and Sean Halcomb; sister; Glina Stitzel of Hamilton, OH, several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service was held Sunday, July 1, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Bowman officiating.
Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery Ellison Addition.
American Legion Post 88 Corbin, will conduct Military Graveside Honors.
