Joseph “Joe” Lay

Joseph “Joe” Lay, age 58, of Jellico, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Norris Health & Rehab Center.
He was born December 24, 1964, in Jellico, Tennessee.
Joe is preceded in death by his father, James Lawernce Walker, Sr.; mother, Wanda Lou (Lay) Walker, sister, Christine “Tina” Walker; special aunt, Mary Ann Weaver; grandparents Simon “Jigs” and Christine (Buckner) Lay, and Lawrence and Clara Walker
He is survived by, brothers, James Walker and wife Lori, Charles Walker and wife Dawn; special uncle, Charles Weaver; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Saturday, January 14, at Tannery Hollow Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Cox and Bro. Jack Douglas officiating.
Burial followed in the Baird Cemetery in the Little Elk Creek Community.
