Jury sides with former office manager in CUC lawsuit, $350,000 verdict

A Whitley Circuit Court Jury has awarded a $350,000 judgment to a former City Utilities Commission of Corbin office manager and bookkeeper, who alleged that she was fired from the organization in violation of the state whistleblower act for reporting that customers were being reconnected who were delinquent on their bills and who didn’t pay the reconnect fee.
