Kimberly Sue Carter, 40, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday January 19, 2018 at her home.

She was born March 9, 1977 in Corbin, to the late James Ray Kerr and Marjorie Prewitt Kerr.

She was also preceded in death by her grandfather Lowell Prewitt and an uncle Lendy Prewitt.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Carter of Williamsburg; daughter; Ida Gwen Helton (J.J.) of Williamsburg; son; Lowell Carter of Richmond; granddaughter; Nevaeh Paisley Helton of Williamsburg; mother; Marjorie Prewitt of Williamsburg; grandmother; Eva Prewitt of Williamsburg; half-sister; Sarah Kerr of California, father-in-law; Glennos Carter and mother-in-law; Minnie Carter both of Williamsburg, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Graveside services were held Tuesday January 23, at the Prewitt Family Cemetery with Rev. Harold Lawson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Prewitt Family Cemetery.
