Knox County home lost to flames

Woodbine, Bailey Switch and Barbourville firefighters were called to battle this mobile home fire on Ky. 459 Monday morning. No one was home at the time.

A Knox County man has lost his home to a fire that started Monday morning.

The mobile home, located on Hwy 459, caught fire when tenant Sonny Dvers was away at the hospital. Neighbors noticed the flames and moved Dvers’ vehicle away from the fire to avoid damage.

Woodbine, Bailey Switch and Barbourville Fire Departments responded to the scene and quickly got the fire under control. However, the structure was a total loss.

An arson investigator was called and will inspect the remains to determine the origin of the fire.
