Local police officers awarded for impaired driving enforcement

Corbin Police K-9 Patrolman Brentley Patrick and Williamsburg Police Officer Dorman Patrick Jr. have each been recognized with the 2024 Governor’s Impaired Driving Enforcement Award.

The pair were recognized by the Kentucky Department of Highway Safety for leading their respective departments in apprehending the most impaired drivers from the streets and roads of Corbin, Williamsburg and Whitley County.

This is the fifth year that Patrick has received the award.

Awards were presented to those with the most impaired-driving arrests in each agency and in each division from Oct. 1, 2023, through Sept. 30, 2024.

The awards were presented on Dec. 11 ceremony at The Campbell House in Lexington.
