Martin Canada avoids murder trial by pleading guilty to manslaughter, endangerment instead

Nearly 17 months after a Whitley Circuit Court Jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict in his murder trial and on the day that his retrial was scheduled to begin, a Williamsburg man instead entered a guilty plea Monday to a reduced charge as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
