Murder, assault case against driver who killed pedestrian going to grand jury

The murder and assault case against a Williamsburg woman who was allegedly driving under the influence when she hit two pedestrians on Ky. 895 in Canadatown on July 25 will be presented to a Whitley County grand jury in September.

Whitley District Court Cathy Prewitt found probable cause to send the case against 46-year-old Sonia Renee Askins to the grand jury following a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
