Nannie Sue Davis, 69, of Jellico, TN passed away peacefully on Monday morning at her residence.

Nannie Sue was a teacher for 30 years, primarily at Jellico Elementary where she had such a positive impact on the youth in this community. She was an active member of the Mountain Homemakers Association and Fairview Baptist Church.

Nannie Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie and Carson Payne Sr.; siblings, Ernest Payne, William Payne, George Payne, and Johnny Hugh Payne.

She is survived by her husband of almost 48 years James L. Davis, children, Dr. Diana Cobb and Jason, Dr. David Davis and Victoria and Craig Brumlow; grandchildren, Hannah Cobb, Elijah Cobb, Davis Brumlow, Weston Brumlow and Ava Davis; sisters, Dollie Williams and Selma Herron, brother, Carson Payne Jr.

The funeral service was held Thursday, July 26, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, TN. with Rev. Jerome McCullah and Dr. Paul Chitwood officiating.

Interment was held Friday, July 27, in the Douglas Cemetery at Wooldridge, TN.

The Llewellyn Funeral Home was honored to serve the Davis family.
