Opal Lunsford Martin, 78, of Corbin, passed away Friday April 12, 2019 in Cincinnati, OH.

She was born in Ages, KY to the late Richard Lunsford and Grace Ledford Lunsford.

Opal was retired from Wm Wrigley Co. in Chicago and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Corbin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert “Bob” Martin and by her siblings; Marcus Eugene Lunsford, Woodrow Lunsford, Harold Lunsford, Howard Lunsford, Buster William Lunsford, Marie Whittie, and Ruby Lunsford.

Opal is survived by her brothers, Walter Lee Lunsford of Corbin, Franklin Lunsford of North Carolina; sister, Lucretia Langford and husband James of Winchester; and by a son, Mickey Ray Poland of WV.

The funeral service was held Monday, April 15, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Burial followed in Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin.
