REDHOUNDS 7th

Date:

Coach Brad Harris’ team finished seventh Saturday in the KHSAA event with a 646. The Redhounds shot 327 today with junior Alex Davis leading the way with an eight over 80. Davis had two birdies, eight bogies and one double bogey for his 18-hole game at the Bowling Green Country Club.

Senior Cody Ellis finished his career with an 81 while junior Connor Maquet had an 83 along with junior teammate, Henry Moore. Senior Luke Cooney finished with a 93. It was the fifth straight year the Redhounds have been in the state finals.

West Jessamine shocked Louisville St. Xavier in a come-from-behind bid to win the 2012 state title. The Tigers, nearly flawless the entire season and ranked #1, saw an eight-strole lead disappear in Saturday’s final round. West Jessamine shot an even par, 288 as a team while St. Xavier had a 302.
