Rev. Danny Allen Elliott, age 67, of Jellico, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 19, 2023, at Baptist Health Corbin.
He was born on August 22, 1955, to the late Kenneth Eugene Elliott and Madge (Cooper) Elliott in Jellico.
His paternal grandparents were the late Roscoe Elliott and Tima (Chitwood) Elliott. His maternal grandparents were the late Henry E. Cooper and Mary Alice (Evans) Cooper.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William “Junior” Ramsey and Queen (Carroll) Ramsey.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Helen Elliott; son, Danny E. Elliott, and wife, Tammy; three grandchildren, Kenny Elliott and wife, Briyanna, of the White Oak Community of Campbell County, Austin Elliott, and fiancée, Maranda Lambdin, and Danni Jo Elliott, all of Jellico; and four great-grandchildren, Kinley, Adalyn, Everleigh, and Tristan.
Danny is also survived by his brother, Dennis Brawdy, and wife, JoAnn, of Las Vegas, Nevada; three sisters, Dutchie Delamater, of Tacoma, Washington, Donna Beck, and husband, John, of LaFollette, and Dianne Petrey, and husband, Pete, of Jacksboro; two sisters-in-law, Linda Barton, and husband, Eddie, of Jellico, and Phyllis Lea, and husband, Jim, of Cumming, Georgia; brother-in-law, Gene “Babe” Ramsey, and wife, Loretta, of the Kentucky Hill Community of Whitley County, KY; numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of friends, neighbors, and other relatives to mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday evening, April 22, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral will immediately follow on Saturday evening, April 22, at 8:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Jones and Rev. E. Wayne Barton, II, officiating. Special singing will be provided by Mrs. Raeanne Barton-Hinkle and Bro. Corey Rountree.
Interment will follow on Sunday afternoon, April 23, at 2:00 p.m. in the Douglas Cemetery. Family and friends who desire to go in procession to Douglas Cemetery should meet at Cox & Son Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon, April 23, at 1:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Beck, Michael Petrey, Kevin Brown, Luke Barton, Thurman Baird, and David Cupp.
Cox & Son Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
