Rev. Eddie “Black Sheppard” Wayne Carroll, age 58, departed this life on February 19, 2023 at the Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky.
Eddie was born on May 1, 1964 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Wayne Carroll and Dorthy (Anderson) Carroll.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Cox) Carroll of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three children, Heather Cox of Duff, Tennessee, Albert Carter III of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Phyllis Carter of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two grandsons, Carson Carter and Caleb Hinkle, both of Duff Tennessee; four brothers, Rev. Bruce Carroll (Jo Ann) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Mike Carroll (Chris) of Dalton, Georgia, Tom Carroll of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Tim Carroll (Pat) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; sister, Patricia Silvers of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Thursday, February 23, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Powers and Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Douglas Cemetery at Sunny Hill.
