Reverend Virgil D. Ball, age 74, of Emlyn, KY, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 at his home.
He was born June 1, 1950 in Williamsburg, KY, to the late Edward and Emma Marsee Ball.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Ball, and John Ball; three sisters, Helen Creekmore, Mary Prewitt, and Ruby Minks.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bessie Ball; one daughter, Melissa Wilder (Dwayne) of Emlyn, KY; one son, Bryan Ball (Whitney) of LaFollette, TN; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger Ball (William Shelley) of Sarasota, FL; three sisters, Irene Beams (David) of Ashville, NC, Martha Jarboe of Williamsburg, KY, and Gail Sawyers (Dallas) of Gatliff, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27, at the Emlyn Church of God with Rev. Harold Long and Rev. Morse Lovitt officiating.
Interment will be in the Emlyn Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM until the funeral service hour on Wednesday, November 27, at the Emlyn Church of God.
