Roy Edward Anderson, 64, of Rocky Point School Rd., Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Corbin Health and Rehab Center in Corbin.

He was born on December 1, 1954 in Cincinnati, OH to Lee and Charlene (Griffith) Anderson.

He was preceded in death by parents, Lee and Charlene Anderson; wife, Sherry (Bryant) Anderson; brother, Kelly Anderson; and sisters, Cora Mullis and Shonda Croley.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his children, Melissa Sue Goins (Deon McCulley) of East Bernstadt, KY, Roberta Kay Anderson of Louisville, Troy Anderson (Angela Smith) of Williamsburg, and Jayme Anderson (Tomie Leann) of Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Dalton Anderson, Megan Goins, Mathew Goins, and Jacob Goins; great grandchild, Aubriana Goins; three sisters, Lena Paul (Robert) of Williamsburg, Linda Anderson of Knoxville, TN, and Flora Wagner (Garth) of Rockholds, KY; brother, Robert Anderson (Lynn) of Toledo, OH; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Sunday, May 19, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Croley officiating.

Following the service he was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
