The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is advising motorists a portion of KY 2996 in Whitley County will be closed to through traffic Monday while crews perform a cross drain replacement.
The closure will extend from mile point 3.766 at Mud Lane to mile point 4.202 at Tanner Trail. The roadway is scheduled to close starting at 7:30 a.m. and is expected to reopen by 5:30 p.m. Monday.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely perform the cross drain replacement.
Motorists should plan accordingly, allow additional travel time and use caution when traveling near the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to be alert for signage, construction personnel and equipment.
