Ruth C. Fuson, age 93, of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on September 3, 2022 at her home.
She was born on June 16, 1929 to the late Joseph Wheeler Shumate and Edna Mae (Oliver) Shumate.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband, Denton M. Fuson and sister, Betty Rose Works.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael B. Powers and wife Teresa of Matthews, North Carolina and William J. Powers and wife, Teresa of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Michael Travis Powers of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Michelle Shelley and husband Todd of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Horn and husband Austin of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Maddie Shelley, and Maci Shelley of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several cousins and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Graveside service will be on Wednesday September 7, at the Youngs Creek Cemetery at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating.
