Sav-Rite Home Care moves to new location

Sav-Rite Home Care is on the move but will remain in Corbin.

At 9 a.m. Tuesday, the business, which has been on Master Street since 1997, opened the doors to its new location on U.S. 25E next to the Knox County Annex..

“We had to quit that because of space,” said Kyle Hubbs, who co-owns the business with his wife, Karen.

Hubbs said the additional space is being used to incorporate separate areas for customers needing assistance with items such as diabetic shoes, CPAP machines and mastectomy prosthesis.

“We don’t want to have a customer coming in for something like that and have a friend or neighbor walk in on them,” Hubbs said.

Hubbs said the new location will also allow Sav-Rite to offer some new products including a selection of scrubs.

New features of the building include a covered awning near a passenger drop off area and a larger parking lot.

“The old location had a lot of shortcomings that I focused on eliminating here,” Hubbs said. “Plus, I have room to expand if I ever need to.”

Hubbs said customers can expect to see the same familiar faces and possibly a few new ones.

“We have 21 employees, but I can anticipate needing more,” Hubbs said.

The store is open 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In addition, the store will offer 24-hour emergency services.

“All the contact information remains the same,” Hubbs said.
