Shirley Ann Cox, 78, of Kensee Hollow Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Friday, September 22, 2017 at her home.

She was born on October 20, 1938 in Williamsburg, to Nathan Lawson and Beulah Mae (Bowlin) Lawson.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Hugh Cox; grandchildren, Gwen Bennett and Samuel Robinson Jr.; and stepsons, Bobby Cox Jr. and Jeffery Cox.

She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Terrell of Williamsburg, Joan Bennett Keller and companion Henry Carson of Williamsburg, Paula Robinson of Clinton, TN and Joyce Veach and husband Kenneth of Jellico, TN; step-son, William Cox of Williamsburg; nine grandchildren, Geri Bays, Richard Keller III, Michael Keller, Sidney Cubias, Veronica Johnson, Sarah Veach, Taz Cox, Robert Cox and James Cox; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, September 26, the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter and Bro. Henry Carson officiating.

She was laid to rest in the Wolf Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
