Soccer Hounds defeat South Laurel Tuesday, 3-1

The Corbin Redhounds boys soccer team was able to pick up another huge district win Tuesday evening when they defeated the visiting South Laurel Cardinals 3-1.

The Hounds were up 2-1 at the half after goals from seniors Dylan Browne and Lucas Canineu. Browne was assisted in his goal by a nice cross from teammate Ben Childers. Canineu scored Corbin’s third goal in the second half on a free kick.

With the win, the Hounds are now 5-1 on the season, and have won five games in a row. They are 2-0 against district opponents, also defeating Whitley County 7-0 back on August 24.

Corbin will be in action again on the evening of Thursday, September 10 at Southwesten Pulaski.
