Steven Foster Mills, 62, of Old Shiner School Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Baptist Health in Lexington.

He was born on August 20, 1956 in Columbus, OH to Foster Mills and the late Joyce (Painter) Mills.

In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by a son, Andrew Mills. Steve was a very caring man with many hobbies.

Some of his favorite things to do were going “picking”, collecting autographs and decorating for the holidays.

He will be remembered as a carefree, fun loving and a genuine human being. Steve touched every person he came in contact with. Once you met him you would never forget him. He was always known for being a free spirit and extremely friendly. He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Jones) Mills of Williamsburg; three children, Christopher Mills (Melissa) of Columbus, OH, Jeremy Hamblin (Patricia) of Ft. Worth, TX and Emily Hamblin of Richmond; four grandchildren, Patrick Mills, Mackenzie Mills, Amelia Mills and Rose Mills; his father, Foster Mills of Columbus; sister, Cheryl Camp (Ed) of Columbus; brother, Brian Mills (Ann) of Columbus; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, November 14, at Croley Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Gus Clouse and Father Michael Weglicki officiating.

Graveside services will be private.
