Termination document reveals additional details about Partin case

The Corbin City Commission unanimously voted Friday afternoon to terminate the employment of Corbin Fire Department Battalion Chief Jack Partin, who pled guilty last month to a misdemeanor harassment charge in Madison District Court.

A News Journal open records request has revealed some additional details about the case, including that the City of Corbin first learned of the details about the alleged harassment days after it occurred via a letter from the victim’s boss and that Partin’s arrest on Sept. 24, 2024, occurred at Corbin City Hall, according to a document titled action and decision pursuant to KRS 95.450 obtained by the News Journal.
