
Verlin Ray King, age 80, of the Wooldridge Community of Jellico, Tennessee passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at his home. He was born December 28, 1944, in Clairfield, Tennessee.
Verlin is preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta (Sowders) King; grandchild, Baby Dixon; daughter, Sharon King; father, Clarence King; mother, Hazel (Byrd) King; sisters, Marie Lively, and Bobbie Jean Orick.
He is survived by his son, Naylon Wayne King; daughter, Lisa (Barney) Bates; daughter and caregiver, Lora (Jeff) Reinhardt; special caregivers and grandchildren, Cheyenne, Tristan and Oaklynn Dixon, and Cody Bell; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way; special friends, Wilma Morgan, and Richard Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Wednesday, April 9 at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Marlow officiating.
Burial followed in the Lambdin Cemetery, Sled Creek.
