W’burg man indicted for rape, incest

A Williamsburg man is facing an array of sexual assault related charges after being indicted by a Whitley County Grand Jury Monday morning.

The Whitley County Grand Jury indicted Stanley Rains, 45, of Highway 904, for first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree rape and incest.

The indictment alleged that between Jan. 1, 2015, and Jan. 6, 2016, Rains allegedly engaged in sexual contact, sexual intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 12.

The indictment also alleged that Rains engaged in sexual intercourse with a female step relative.
